There are 2 switches needed to turn the generator on. After the player goes down to it's cell, the main power shuts down, forcing the player to turn on the generator power. Next to the elevator is a door that is requires a DNA scan from the Black Severed Hand. There will be a elevator in order to go to 049's (located in the Heavy Containment Zone). The second scripted appearance of SCP-049 is in it's containment chamber. After going to the Monitor Room SCP-049 can be seen on one of the security cameras approaching the Monitor Room door (which will be opened because of SCP-079 taking over the remote door control system).
This is not a problem because the Nine-Tailed Fox squad starts out with a Level 5 keycard. To access the Monitor Room, the Player needs to have at least a Level 3 keycard or higher. The first appearance of SCP-049 is in the Light Containment Zone Monitor Room. Either way the Player will die from it if close to it for too long. It should be noted that SCP-049 doesn't take away the ring. If the player hasn't gotten out of the range of SCP-049's hand then SCP-049 will take off the suit or, if the Player uses the ring for a long time in close proximity of 049 then it will kill the Player.
If the player is wearing either SCP-714 or a Hazmat Suit, then they're temporarily safe from SCP-049.
If the Player comes in contact with it, they will be 'cured'. Patients of SCP-049 are referred to as instances of SCP-049-2. Patients will then reanimate and remain idle only interacting with other humans by bludgeoning them to death. It 'cures' those who it deems infected with the pestillence, it does this by stopping all biological functions in an organism with the touch of it's hands and performs several incisions on the patient and injected several unknown fluids into it's system. SCP-049 is an entity resembling a plague doctor that has a strong desire to cure the 'pestillence', it can materialise a bag from it's garments that contain several surgical instruments. While SCP-049 appears to be wearing the thick robes and the ceramic mask indicative of that profession, the garments instead seem to have grown out of SCP-049's body over time, and are now nearly indistinguishable from whatever form is beneath them. SCP-049, nicknamed 'The Plage Doctor', is a humanoid entity which bears the appearance of a medieval plague doctor.
